The investigation reveals numerous possible suspects leading the couple to try and find the real killer themselves. The story concerns a traveller who finds himself accused of murder after he receives a ride from a person who kills an extortionist.

In a remote mansion Army Officer (William Sylvester) and Carol (Mary Germaine) only escape the charge of murder by finding the real killer. House of Blackmail is a 1953 British second feature [1] drama film directed by Maurice Elvey and starring Mary Germaine, William Sylvester and Alexander Gauge.

A blackmailer is murdered, and the police find that there is a long list of suspects who wanted to see him dead.

I know I recently said this about a previous film I watched but this is very Edgar Wallace, Maybe I only feel that way because I've been reading him lately but then again his impact on mysteries and thriller since the 20s is not only undeniable but prodigious.
