The company has unveiled an 18-year-old straight bourbon whiskey dubbed the “ Bootleg Series Volume V” release. Breaking with convention, Heaven's Door finishes its straight rye whiskey in toasted oak cigar barrels, harvested and air dried in the low-lying mountain region of Vosges, France. This expression is made with a mash bill featuring 30% "small grains", and the spirit is allowed to age for at least 8 years in American oak barrels.

This Tennessee bourbon has a mash bill that’s non-traditional to all other whiskeys ever created from the state, with 22% rye and without charcoal mellowing.
