Now go ahead and take those long-distance shots to take control of the game, the blaster features the red camo wrap from the game and it includes a six-dart clip and six Official Nerf Mega foam darts that unleash with bolt-action priming.

DART-FIRING FORTNITE BLASTER REPLICA: This Nerf Fortnite Heavy SR blaster is inspired by the equipment used in Fortnite, capturing the look of the one in the popular video game There are two openings located on the front of the drum housing which allow you to load up your missiles and with each pump, the drum will rotate – so no need to reload after each shot. For extra customization, there is a slanted tactical rail on top of the blaster which won’t be much help if you want to attach a scope but a blaster shield may work? I ended up slicing up some spare ABS plastic, gluing it in place, and then smothering JB Weld just to be sure. Ideally, you could print a piece and glue it in place to help reinforce the tiny ramp. I’ll hopefully have a file up soon!

Magazine Mayhem

Load the clip into the blaster, slide the bolt to ready a dart for firing, then press the trigger to blast the dart towards your target. The Fortnite SR is a chunky monkey, based on the in-game Scope Revolver this single shot magnum has a lot going for it. Although it may look like a revolver, it uses smart air restrictor technology to let you front-load 4 darts and fire them in sequence. If you don’t have enough time (or darts) for a full reload, don’t worry, the blaster will still fire even if one dart is loaded up. The BASR-R only comes with one tactical rail, located on top of the blaster, and you will need to remove the included scope before you start throwing on your own customizations and attachments. The scope doesn’t offer any magnification, so if you are looking for greater precision, it may be worth slotting on your own preferred scope or red dot sight (you will be messing with the Fortnite styling though). As a clip-based blaster, reloading is nice and easy (if you have some more clips to spare), and the clip release is right in front of the trigger, so an absolute breeze to drop and clip and slot a new one in.

NERF MEGA DARTS, REMOVABLE SCOPE, RED CAMO WRAP: Comes with 6 Official Nerf Mega foam darts, has a removable targeting scope, and features the Red Camo Wrap from the game Being a large blaster, the Heavy SR seems to almost demand methodical priming and firing. You could manage to fire off a dart every second or so, but one shot every two seconds was the natural rhythm I fell into. First things first: all previous Mega magazines work in the Heavy SR. In fact, the included magazine is essentially a Centurion clip with aesthetic changes. So for those of us with large collections of magazines, hooray! The Heavy SR also comes with a clip-on scope that mounts on the top tactical rail (and over the jam door, although I have yet to need to use it). The SP is a lovely little blaster and a perfect addition to any arsenal (Fortnite-themed or not). The styling is fantastic, and there is even a little “Shhhh” embossed on the side, just in case people didn’t know you were using a suppressed pistol. Based on the Legendary skinned bolt action sniper rifle from the game, the Fortnite BASR-L comes in two flavors (colors). If you are after the original legendary skin, you need to get the BASR-L, but there is also the blue BASR-R which also comes with 3 mini bush targets for practice. Top marks for styling! The Fortnite SMG-E is an epic rarity motorized blaster which reminds us a lot of the NERF Elite Stryfe. The design of this blaster is top-notch, capturing Fortnite’s tactical SMG perfectly, even down to the spikes mounted on the muzzle.

In terms of performance, the SMG-E is a semi-automatic blaster, so you will need to pull the trigger for each shot. Make sure that you are holding down the acceleration button (located just under the trigger) to get the flywheel spinning, and be careful not to hit the clip release, which is directly in front! For any pesky dart jams, the jam door is located on top, so you can flip open the chamber and scoop out any bent darts. The NERF Fortnite AR-L is a semi-automatic, motorized blaster modeled on the legendary skinned Fortnite AR. If the canary yellow color style doesn’t quite do it for you, there are a few choices available (our favorite being the Durrr-Burger). BOLT ACTION, CLIP-FED MEGA DART BLASTING: Fire 6 big Nerf Mega darts in a row from the 6-dart clip -- slide the bolt to prime the blaster, and pull the trigger to fire a dart Ah, the joys of Mega magazine-fed blasters. The Centurion sold like hotcakes, but liked to eat darts. Then it took seven years for Hasbro to make another mega blaster with magazines (the Motostryke). Now, a year later, we have another one, courtesy of the Fortnite blaster line. The Heavy SR ends up being a spiritual successor to the Centurion, and in all the right ways. It’s going to be awkward trying to use it in a war, yes. But when you just want a big blaster, shooting big darts out of a magazine, it gets the job done.
